As mentioned in previous posts about new features that were released, we had plans to continue to develop on the social side of Workout Spots. We feel that the social component of working out is just as important as finding a class, and we will continue to strive to make this the ultimate fitness resource on all levels.
Take a minute to review the social updates recently released, and be sure to let us know what you think.
To best conclude a day full of posts about new features and updates just recently released, we saved the best for last. A problem (and an opportunity) recently dawned on us - there is an enormous wealth of data available to business owners that are using our class registration and management platform. Some spots have as many as 500 classes currently in the system; both past and present. There's data like the frequency of classes, the registrations on them, who registered, the types of classes, the instructors, and much more.
We deployed two important changes to the class management interface that we felt were worth sharing, especially because it came straight from great customer feedback. The class management interface in the tab labeled "Manage classes" that's visible on spot pages for the spot owner. This interface allows you to get a quick view of all of your upcoming classes, filter the list based on a number of different criteria, perform edits across multiple classes, and even delete multiple classes - the aim is to make class management faster and easier.
Late last night, we've released a few important updates to the class schedule embeddable widget that we offer for business-owners to place their Workout Spots schedule on their own website for their viewers to see and help faciliate the online-registration process. If you haven't yet seen it, you can read about it here.
Very early this morning we released one of the largest rounds of updates, tweaks, and bugfixes since we launched over a month ago. Despite the size of the changes, we were only down for about 3 minutes - which is great. We always try very hard to make sure our downtime is as brief as possible.
An important milestone was reached during the past hour -- we had our 10,000th class added. We feel that's a pretty impressive mark, being just a few days over 1-month since we launched. Most sites boast more significant growth, but those numbers are usually just "users" creating an account on a site.
